How did you get around today? Make a photograph of your transportation and post it.
I rode the föri across the river Aura here in Turku today. This mode of transportation was built over one hundred years ago in 1903 for the workers at the shipyard to get across the river Aura more quickly than they could on foot or by bicycle. It was – back then- a steam powered ferry, today it’s a diesel one. It takes only a minute and a half to cross. Yet that short break gives its passengers (pedestrians and cyclists) time to breathe. And I think God likes that!
