262/365: London backwaters


This anonymous building is a stone’s throw from the Thames. Its beauty is seen by few people; even the commuters striding past each day fail to see it. I wonder how often we are like that in the Kingdom of God: too busy, too absorbed, too self-centred work-focused to see the beauty of God at work in our midst?

(Lambeth High St. is a misleading name. As you can see here it’s a tiny lane … parallel with the Albert Embankment)
