258: oxbow river

This is the view from (the forecourt of) Stirling castle. When I studied here the Wallace Monument, Dumyat and occasionally this spot were places of refuge for me (in the same way that going up the Edge last year while at Cliff College). Being high up helps me regain a more healthy perspective.

Today I was struck by the meandering river (The Forth) … sometimes the journey-ing is as (or even more) important than the destination. We don’t always have to make a bee-line to where we are going.
