Owls have many attributes, one of which is having a very keen sense of hearing.
When does that hearing begin to develop? I mean, can unhatched owlets hear or not? There is evidence that human babies are affected by sound in the womb … but what about embryos in the egg? What’s even more interesting – to me – is the question: Are newly hatched owlets able to hear well, or does the keenness of their hearing develop as they themselves develop? Good questions I think, but a cursory internet search didn’t provide any answers.
I did however find this.
The baby owls thought. All owls think a lot …
